Merredin Energy has an experienced board of directors.
Jon Biesse is the non-executive Chairman. Jon is the Chief Investment Officer of Hoperidge Capital, the Family Office of Rod Jones. Jon was previously a Director of Corporate at Argonaut Limited, and has extensive corporate and financial experience across a range of industries and countries. Jon holds a first-class honours degree in Natural Resource Management from The University of Western Australia, a post-graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from Finsia, and is a graduate of the AICD.
Lindsay Ward is the CEO of Merredin Energy as well as an Executive Director. Lindsay is an experienced senior executive having worked in a broad range of industries over the past 30 years, including power generation, gas transmission, ports management, rail haulage, resources, mineral processing, transport and logistics at General Manager, CEO and MD level. Lindsay manages other infrastructure assets for Palisade.
James Hann is a Non-Executive Director and Investment Director of Palisade Investment Partners. Immediately prior to joining Palisade, James was a Vice President in Macquarie Capital’s Principal Investments team at Macquarie Group. Over a period of 9 years at Macquarie Group, James focused on origination, execution and asset management of Macquarie Capital’s investments which including traditional infrastructure including PPP’s and renewables, industrials, resources and real estate.
Shane Jones is a Non-Executive Director. Shane was Project Manager at Merredin Energy during construction and commissioning. He is the founding Managing Director of Melchor, and Hoperidge Engineering. Shane also is a director Perth Energy, CEO of Aust-Asia Energy. Shane has over 20 years’ experience managing engineering and infrastructure projects across the power generation and O&G sectors.
Darren has over 13 years of experience in the infrastructure sector. Prior to joining Palisade Darren was the Group Director – Finance with Hastings Funds Management, a specialist global manager focused on infrastructure equity and debt investing. At Hastings he was responsible for investment operations, reporting, treasury, risk management and administration. Prior to joining Hastings, Darren was a member of the assurance team at Deloitte.
Wacek has over 20 years’ broad experience in the energy industry across a diverse range of geographical areas including Europe, Asia and Oceania, with 9 years in Technical, General and Project Management positions and has held technical and leadership roles across a wide range of projects ranging from concept engineering to construction.
Experienced in commercial areas including cost estimating, budget planning and business case development and has a strong technical and commercial knowledge across the energy industry.
With over 20 years’ combined experience in construction, management, materials handling, and energy sectors, Dale has provided technical, engineering, procurement, and project management services for projects locally in Australia, and overseas support for developments in Asia and Africa.
As Operations Manager, Dale has responsibility for all operational and engineering aspects of Merredin Energy.
